I Have a Passion for Creating Happiness
I chose to work in the tourism industry with the Bryan-College Station CVB because I have a heart for making people happy. And what better way to make people happy than by creating a tourist destination worthy of visitation? Not only am I helping visitors to have a great experience, but I am also promoting and enhancing the local businesses that are the foundation of Brazos Valley.

My Responsibilities and Acheivements
There is no administrative staff member at Experience Bryan-College Station. So as the administrative intern, I was given a large variety of different tasks to accomplish. Since I was under the CEO and Director of Finance, I was given the opportunity to help organize the employees files and update the business accounting files. I helped the group services department by creating visitor bags, gift baskets, and delivering/mailing visitor guides. I helped the marketing department by calling different establishments to update our visitor guides before the new print, and by attending meetings with Insite the publishing company. I helped the sports department by counting about 16,000 bracelets for the Great American Shootout, running an admissions booth, entering information for their National Association Sports Commissions database, and hauling supplies for the State 7on7 Tournament. I also helped the entire office with the enormous task of moving locations to Wolf Pen Creek. I am the front line for customer services through the in-person visits and phone calls. These opportunities helped me learn how to better communicate with the public and clients in a tourism industry. I have a better knowledge of how to use different interfaces and devices like Outlook and a postage stamper. I also grew professionally through the trying political issues that Experience BCS has been facing, and have received high praise from clients.
